Head-on crash on A144 at Ilketshall St Lawrence sees woman suffer serious leg injuries

A woman has suffered serious leg injuries after her motorbike was involved in a head-on crash.

The crash happened in on the A144 Halesworth Road in Ilketshall St Lawrence, near Bungay, at around 10pm last night.

A blue Mitsubishi Lancer was travelling towards Bungay when it collided with the motorbike which was travelling in the opposite direction.

The motorcyclist, aged in her 20s, was taken to Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital.

The male driver of the car, aged in his 30s, was uninjured.

Police closed the road while emergency services attended to those involved and initial investigations were carried out.

Officers are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the crash or the manner in which the vehicles were being driven before the incident.
