Two people in care of ambulance service after bungalow fire in Ilketshall St Andrew, near Beccles and Bungay
Two people are in the care of the ambulance service after a fire near Beccles.
Four fire engines, from Wrentham, Halesworth, Beccles and Lowestoft, were called to a bungalow blaze in Ringsfield Road, Ilketshall St Andrew, at 3.29pm.
A spokesman for Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service said the fire was believed to have started in the garage of the property.
One engine is still in attendance.
Everyone inside the building has been accounted for, but two people are now in the care of the ambulance service, the spokesman said.
Water hoses and jets were used to fight the fire.
An East of England Ambulance Service spokesman said: “One ambulance and two ambulance officer vehicles were sent to a private dwelling in Ilketshall St Andrew this afternoon, following reports of a fire in a garage.
“Two patients were transported to James Paget Hospital for further assessment and care.”
