Three arrested after suspected assault incident outside Ellough Road, Beccles, school

Three people have been arrested after an incident outside of a town school.

Police were alerted to the incident in Ellough Road, Beccles, at 11.44am.

One man was arrested on suspicion of threat or possession with intent to commit criminal damage, while another man was arrested on suspicion of assaulting a police officer.

A woman was arrested on suspicion of a breach of the peace.

The reported assault and arrests took place outside of the school building.

No one was injured in the incident.

Police remain at the school and are working with its staff.

There will be an increased police presence and reassurance patrols in the area in the wake of the incident.
