See video of Storm Babet flooding on A144 at Ilketshall St John, between Bungay and Halesworth

As Storm Babet continues to batter Suffolk, a number of key roads through the county have become waterlogged.

A video, sent to SuffolkNews by Charlie Williams, shows heavy flooding on the A144 at Ilketshall St John, between Bungay and Halesworth.

Suffolk Police have urged motorists to be aware when travelling today due to excessive flooding across the county.

Due to higher than average demand, a spokesman for the force has urged residents to call the control room only when necessary.

Suffolk Resilience Forum, including councils, health bodies and emergency services, declared a major incident after reports of more than 40 weather-related incidents flooded in.

A major incident is called when the situation is believed to be beyond ‘business-as-usual’ operations and when there is the heightened risk of serious harm, damage, disruption or threat to human life or welfare.

A yellow weather warning for rain is in place until 6am tomorrow.

SuffolkNews is keeping track of all the road closures as a result of Storm Babet.
