Firefighters from Lowestoft and Beccles battle shed blaze in Willingham St Mary

Firefighters battled a shed and workshop fire yesterday afternoon.

Crews from Lowestoft and Beccles were alerted to the scene in Willingham St Mary at 12.22pm, following reports that flames had engulfed a building.

A spokesman for Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service said the fire was ‘fully involved’ – meaning it was no longer contained to a small area and had taken hold of the entire building.

The fire was extinguished with four hose reel jets.

Firefighters left the scene at 1.42pm.
