Castle EAST in Hillside Road, Bungay, shuts for another day after suffering power loss
A Suffolk school has announced it will be closed for another day after suffering a power loss.
Castle EAST, in Hillside Road, Bungay, had to shut its doors today after losing power to one of its servers on Friday night.
The incident has resulted in the school having no access to any of its IT systems including phones.
A spokesperson for the school said: “The school’s technical support company was hoping that the replacement part required would be delivered today, but the school has just been informed that the part will not arrive today.
“Headteacher Anna Mears has had to make the difficult decision to close the school again tomorrow as the school must have access to phones and IT systems in order to operate safely and effectively.”
The school hopes to be back for the final day of term this Wednesday.
Castle EAST is a special school for pupils with communication and interaction (C&I) needs from Year 5 through to Year 11.
