Waveney Valley Leisure Centre in Bungay evacuated and fire service called after sprinklers activated in sauna

A Suffolk leisure centre was evacuated after sprinklers were activated in a sauna and the fire service alerted.

Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service was called to Waveney Valley Leisure Centre, on St John's Hill in Bungay, at 12.22pm.

A spokeswoman said sprinklers were activated in the sauna and crews investigated but found no fire.

Three crews attended and the building was evacuated.

It was dealt with by 1.08pm.
