Fire crews rescue driver from vehicle stuck in water on Mendham Lane, Homersfield

Firefighters were called to a Suffolk village yesterday evening to help a person whose vehicle was stuck in water.

Crews responded to reports of the incident on Mendham Lane, Homersfield, at about 8.44pm.

A spokesman for Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service said firefighters rescued the driver from the vehicle.

The person was then left in the care of the ambulance service and crews called a stop to the incident at 9.16pm.

A spokeswoman for the East of England Ambulance Service said no one required taking to hospital.
