Body found between Beccles and Lowestoft in search for missing man
A body has been found in the search for a missing man.
A man in his 30s went missing on the Norfolk and Suffolk Broads after a boat with five people sunk on the River Waveney, near North Cove, between Beccles and Lowestoft.
Four managed to escape from the water, but one man, named locally as Nathan Strowger, was unaccounted for.
A body was found on Thursday morning, although formal identification has yet to take place.
A search has been ongoing since the start of the week.
Suffolk Police were alerted by Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service at 10.10pm on Monday
Police, along with a number of other agencies, supported a search of the river which was led by HM Coastguard, who completed their searches on Tuesday afternoon, with the missing man having not been found.
Although the deceased has not been formally identified, he is believed to be the missing man and his family have been informed of the discovery.
