Southwold 27-year-old charged with attempted murder after Beccles incident where man driven over and suffered life-changing injuries
A third man has been charged with attempted murder following an incident in Beccles last month.
A man in his 50s was attacked by a group of people who emerged from a car on Saturday, November 18 at about 2.45am in London Road.
The victim was pulled to the floor, assaulted and then was driven over.
Officers attended and found the man with serious injuries.
He was taken to the James Paget Hospital for treatment before being transferred to Addenbrooke’s Hospital for surgery and has since been discharged with life-changing injuries.
A man, initially arrested in November and bailed until February, was re-arrested on Thursday and charged with attempted murder.
Lewis Aldridge, 27, of the Market Place in Southwold, appeared before Norwich Magistrates’ Court today where he was remanded to appear before Ipswich Crown Court on January 15, 2024.
Nathan Baker, 19, of Quay Street in Halesworth, and Daniel Hermon, 26, of Market Place in Southwold, have already both been charged with attempted murder.
The pair were remanded and are next due to appear at Ipswich Crown Court on December 18.
