Body of man found in Great Cornard in undergrowth near River Stour off Dove House Meadow

The body of a man has been found in Great Cornard.

Police were called at about 3.10pm yesterday by a member of the public reporting that a man had been found dead in undergrowth near the River Stour, off Dove House Meadow.

Police, fire and ambulance crew attended.

It is believed that the body found was of a man in his 40s who was reported missing on Wednesday night.

The death is being treated as unexplained but police do not currently believe there are any suspicious circumstances.

Next of kin have been informed and a file will be prepared for the coroner.
