Crews tackle forklift truck fire in Martlesham's Sandy Lane

Firefighters have been tackling a forklift truck blaze near Ipswich this afternoon.

Five crews from Ipswich, Woodbridge and Princes Street were called to reports of the fire in Sandy Lane in Martlesham at about 2.37pm.

A Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said the forklift truck was 'well alight'.

No casualties have been reported.

A stop was called to the incident, meaning firefighters were able to start leaving the scene, at about 3.43pm.
