Firefighters battle truck blaze on A143 in Scole, near Diss and Eye

Firefighters were called to a vehicle fire on the Norfolk-Suffolk border this morning.

Two fire crews, from Harleston and Diss, were alerted to the A143, at the junction with the A140, in Scole at 7.55am.

Crews used hose reel jets to fight the flames.

The blaze took hold in a truck – with its burnt out remains left in the road for a time afterwards.

The incident was dealt with by 8.27am.
