Suffolk Police have said the death of a person in Combs Wood near Stowmarket is not being treated as suspicious




An investigation carried out by Suffolk Police has now been completed after a body was found in woodland last week.

Police have said they believe there weren’t any suspicious circumstances surrounding the death of the man, who was thought to have been in his 50s.

The body of the man was discovered in Combs Wood off Church Road, near Stowmarket on the morning of Tuesday, May 23.

A spokesman for Suffolk Police said: “Following the initial police investigation, there were not believed to be any suspicious circumstances and any further enquiries are now being managed by the coroner.”

The coroner will now oversee the post-mortem process.

Combs Wood is a popular walking spot in the Stowmarket area.
