A14 in Bury St Edmunds closed after firefighters alerted to van blaze




Firefighters were called to a van blaze on the A14 in Bury St Edmunds.

Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service was alerted at 10.36am to the incident which was eastbound between junction 42 and junction 43.

The van was on fire in a lay by.

Two engines from Bury attended.

A Suffolk Police spokesman said both lanes were closed.

The incident was dealt with by 11.28am.
