Fire crews and air ambulance attend Fressingfield tractor and field blaze




A number of emergency service have attended the scene of a fire in a Fressingfield field which started earlier on today.

Six fire crews from Harleston, Long Stratton, Framlingham, Leiston, Halesworth, and Stradbroke were called to a tractor fire on land close to the B1116 at around 2pm today.

A spokesman for Suffolk Fire said the original fire from the farm machinery had also spread to around two acres of stubble and 20 metres of hedgerow, with crews were using hose and beaters to put out the flames.

The incident, which closed at 3.37pm, still has three units on site to ensure it is fully out and was also attended by the ambulance and air ambulance services.
