Body found near to A1088 in Thetford in search for missing 34-year-old Vytautas Matusauskas

A body has been found in the search for a 34-year-old man from Thetford who has been missing for 10 days.

Police confirmed a body had been found in area close to the A1088 yesterday.

On Sunday, Norfolk Police sent out an appeal for information on the whereabouts of Vytautas Matusauskas, who was last seen on March 11 at a property near to Icknield Way in the town, and last heard from the day after at about 10am.

He had not been back to his home in Pine Close since.

Norfolk Police said his disappearance was considered out of character with officers and family members increasingly concerned for his welfare.

Today, a police spokesperson said: "Police were called to an area close to the A1088, Thetford yesterday afternoon following reports of a sudden death.

"Officers attended the location shortly before 2pm where a man aged in his 30s was found unresponsive.

"The family of missing man, Vytautas Matusauskas have been informed.

"The death is not being treated as suspicious and a file is being prepared for the coroner."
